Rearranging images

I’ve been working on a new piece and had scaled the overall image to allow me to print it in smaller sections and reassemble it in a frame I found. The frame itself is bright green and as I see it quite eye catching. It lead me to oversaturate some of the photos to counterbalance the intense green of the frame.

It is by no means a subtle piece. So I am arranging the photos to see how they may layout and they don’t fit, it actually makes the piece more interesting as the overlapping of the photos leads the eye to fill in the covered or missing parts and create a full impression.

The photo I am including here is the work in process. Some prints are on photo paper, some on vellum and some standard rag paper. THe textural differences created give it more interest and may lead me to not cover it in glass when completed as it may dilute the image.

More to come.
