Challenges

So i have been remiss in my posting and I’d like to say it’s due to the Holidays but that’s not accurate. The piece I have been working on isn’t turning out for me and I have been playing with it. Trying different ways to get it to speak to me. So far it is silent.

My last attempt is to veil it in trace to tone down the pattern and color. Odd as the pattern and color was what I originally envisioned. But it seems too bright, too look at me and perhaps too jarring. It may be my mood, or the weather or both that leads me to feel it isn’t quite right yet. But I’ll sit on it for a while and see what inspires me. Sometimes leaving it and coming back later brings new insights.
