The importance of the correct materials

As I have written I have been experimenting with some images in a small format to use on cards. Initially I was printing photos and then attaching them to the card stock. This was effective as the photo colors are exuberant compared to direct printing on the card stock. But too time consuming as each photo must be opened, printed and then attached to the card stock. Paired with an envelope and then slid into a cellophane sleeve to protect it.

All in all time that dictates a selling price higher than would be expected for such an item.

In researching better ways to direct print and paper stocks I came across Red River Paper, www.redriverpaper.com , and ordered a sample paket of their direct print card stock. What an incredible difference having the correct paper makes. No longer are the images muddy and distorted but clear, vibrant and considerably less time consuming to create.

This leaves me more time to assemble images and craft teh designs and less time putting the final product together.

I am attaching an image of the differing plots so you can see how improved they are on the correct stock.

Upper right is plain card stock, as evident the image quality on the corrected stock is noticable.
