New week new challenges

I write this looking at the weeks challenges as positive aspects not negative. WIthout challenges one can stagnate and not proceed on the creative journey.

Creative processes are always a challenge regardless of experience, time allotted or resources. Looking at this from a positive view one can see lack of experience in a specific area or technique as driving one to learn and explore more about it.

Time restrictions make one think of different ways to achieve the result within the allotted time. Without deadlines some of us would never “finish” anything!

Limited resources may lead to a more creative solution in achieving a desired look than if they were unlimited.

In my pst work as a Designer the greatest and most fun challenge was always hoe to achieve the clients wishes within budget and on time without diluting the design intent. Sometimes it was simply managing clients expectations but more often it was material selections and building techniques that drove the decisions.

So face the challenge with a mind open to possibilities not an open check book. It may lead you to a more satisfying result.
