inspiration

Inspiration comes to me in many forms. From the view outside a window. The weather, fabrics and textures I find intriguing. It comes from unexpected places. Yesterday I was thrift store shopping for frames. I often find fun old frames for inexpensive prices at thrift stores and then use them to build a piece for.

In this case the frame gives direction for the piece. Yesterdays find is a bright green metal frame in excellent condition. Specifically I was looking for a frame to capture attention and use as a display piece for an upcoming show. It certainly will do that!

When I got it home it brought on more ideas, ideas for collage work that plays off of the many green based images I have of nature. With an interspursement of seemingly incongruous things I find carry a commonality to the base image.
